Being a massive Game of Thrones fan, I was incredibly saddened by the idea that Season 5 was already drawing to a close. When my friend @sloppyswatches suggested a Game of Thrones (GoT for short) collaberation to commemorate the finale, I was thrilled! However I must admit my artistic skills leave something to be desired – so I fell back onto something that I love; stamping. Here’s what I came up with!
More on this mani and the products I used after the break!!
Hey everyone! Today I’d like to talk a little bit about OPI’s new Color Paints. The set contains 9 jelly polish ‘tints’ that are meant to be used over their special silver base. You can wear them as polishes, or you can use them for a myriad of different nail art techniques like watermarbling or lead-lighting. They are being marketed as ‘Blendable Nail Lacquer.’ I picked up this set of 6 minis for $27.99 CAD from a Trade Secrets Outlet Store:
I was walking through my local SuperWalmart when I happend to find myself in the nail section (I know shocker right?). A little end-cap display caught my eye. It was a Pure Ice display (Pure Ice is Walmart’s exclusive brand) and the funny thing is being a Canadian, we don’t really get many Special or Limited Edition releases like this. As I took a closer look, I saw that these were quite different from your average mainstream polish.
Yes those are indeed crelly-glitters!!! They have a very indie feel to them. So I immediately purchased them all – at $1.97 you can’t go wrong!!!! Scroll down for swatches.
After almost 2 years of sharing my nails on Instagram, I decided it was time to make the leap to blogging! I’ve never blogged before so please bare with me if I go through some growing pains.
A little about me. My name is Jenny and I’m a mom of 3. I have been a Stay-at-Home mom for the past 6 years, but when I am working, I work as a professional writer. I’m also an amateur photographer. I have always preferred natural light photography, and you will see that translate in my nail photos as well. And of course I am nail polish obsessed! Not only have I found a hobby that I love, I’ve been lucky enough to meet and build friendships with a wonderful group of people who share my passion. I hope to continue to grow those friendships, and to improve my skills in this wonderful art-form. I hope you all will enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating them.
