Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Today I have a stamper and polish review for you from www.bornprettystore.com
As you can probably tell, stampers come in a variety of sizes and shapes. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Some people have a strong preference for a certain kind of stamper. For me, my new obsession is the clear silicone ones. I have not used anything else since I tried one!!! The concept behind the clear stampers is that you can look down through the back end of the stamper and see the nail through the stamper head, allowing for precision placement.
This clear silicone stamper is unique in that it is much larger than your average stamper. It’s 4 cm across (about 1.5 inches). Here you can see it compared to another Bornprettystore stamper (I reviewed this one here). It come with a matching clear scraper and a clear lid for when not in use (great when you have toddlers who like to play with, and rip your stampers!)
The barrel or holder of the stamper is clear, and also much much shorter than other clear stampers. The idea behind this is that it will let in the most amount of light possible and limit the weird kind of tunnel vision you get with a longer stamper handle.
It stamped beautifully right now of the package (no priming required):
And equally well onto my nail!!!! My only issue with this stamper, and it was very minor, was that the back end of the barrel is sealed. Silicone stampers are known for being a little more delicate than regular stampers and once or twice the silicone head sunk into the holder and I would have liked to be able to push it outwards from the back. Again most stampers are sealed on the back end so this is not a big deal at all!
This stamper retails for $3.59 USD / $4.78 CAD at the time of this post.
And this leads us into my next review and the polish I used to create these manis (along with the clear stamper).
The polish comes packaged in a pretty box!!! It’s a large size, 18 ml. The bottle is a nice square shape which I found really handy for stamping – you need to move quickly when stamping and I have been known to knock over a polish bottle or two. Not going to happen with this polish though!!!
As you can see, it stamped beautifully, very opaque and the image came out nice and crisp!!! Sometime dark colours don’t translate their intensity onto the nail but this one looks just as bright blue as it does in the bottle!
It didn’t have an overly offensive smell either, which is surprising because blue pigmented polish in general tends to be on the stinky side. Despite it’s deep blue colour, I had no staining on the stamper or on my skin after I cleaned up. I definitely recommend this stamping polish – it retails for $4.59 USD / $6.11 CAD at the time of this post.
Now as if you weren’t convinced enough to treat yourself to some awesome stamping stuff, I have a 10% off code for you!!! Use code JDGK31 for 10% off your entire cart of regularly-priced items, and www.bornprettystore.com has free worldwide shipping!!!! It doesn’t get any better than that!
