Sun’s out guns out and it’s time to be sportin’ some ultra bright NEONS on your nails!!! Well how timely that I was surprised with this GORGEOUS set of neons by indie brand Moonflower Polish! These are some multi-purpose neons we have here – these bad boys not only stamp (yes I stamped all the neon things on my nails!) BUT they are fully opaque in two coats as a regular polish and get this….NO WHITE BASE REQUIRED! I see the intrigue in your eyes! So read on and prepare to be blinded!
The theme for this collection is summer break and was mostly named by Nadia’s daughter (plus some help from friends) based on things that remind her of summer. I’d say she was spot on with the names! All of the polishes are a neon creme base with a lot of sparkly shimmer.
For my swatches I stamped over Sinful Colors Black on Black and OPI Alpine Snow, plus a glossy top coat to really bring out that shimmer. Full nail swatches follow, with as I mentioned earlier – NO WHITE BASE!!! I might be a little excited about that.

This is a wonderfully fun collection! I love that they are neons with attitude – not only does the shimmer really give them the added dimension, but they stamp beautifully AND are fully opaque and eye-searingly bright over the bare nail. They are 5-free and cruelty-free to boot! I only experienced staining with one polish out of the entire set (Lemonade). They do dry down to a matte finish so a topcoat will be helpful in really bring out that shimmer. Of note: they are slightly on the thicker side (since they ARE opaque in one coat). If you prefer, you can add a bit of nail polish thinner to them. I had no issues with them being too thick!
The Summer Neons are available now at www.moonflowerpolish.com. The full size (15 ml) is $9 USD (or $65 USD for the 8-piece set) and the minis (7 ml) are $6 USD each ($45 USD for the set).
