*Press Sample*

Hello everyone!!! Today I bring you swatches of the Girly Bits Cosmetics Misheard Lyrics collection. We have 6 gorgeous stunning matte jewel-toned shimmer polishes and 1 beautiful topper all named after…you guessed it….misheard song lyrics!

All of my swatches are two coats. The first photo is the polish sans top coat. The second picture is with Girly Bits Cosmetics What a Rush Quick-Dry top coat, and the third photo is with the collection topper (Tony Danza – “Hold me closer, Tony Danza” AKA Tiny Dancer by Elton John. This topper is a clear based topper with iridescent red to orange to green colour shifting glitters, and a sprinkle of red to copper to green colour shifting shimmer.)

Electric Boobs

She’s got electric boobs, A mole hair too!” This polish is named after not only my favourite Elton John song ever (Bennie and the Jets), but also one of my fave songs of all-time. Electric Boobs is a gorgeous fuchsia pink with a pink/purple shimmer.

Fax Machine

She was a fax machine, she kept her modem clean” – the iconic AC/DC song Shook Me All Night Long is often the victim of misheard lyrics!! Another one of my fave songs (and bands). Fax Machine is a magenta berry with a red/gold shimmer.

Kiss This Guy

‘scuse me, while I kiss this guy” – or as the professionals call it, Kiss the Sky by Jimi Hendrix. This is a medium purple with a pink shimmer.

Lorraine

I wanna know, have you ever seen Lorraine?” Do you think this is who Creedence Clearwater Revival was talking about in their song Have You Ever Seen The Rain? Probably not but it sure sounds like someone was on the hunt for poor Lorraine! Lorraine is a bright aqua/cyan blue with a blue/purple shimmer.

Cross-Eyed Bear

It’s not fair to deny me, of the cross-eyed bear that you gave to me” – I went to school with Alanis Morisette, we were in the same class for Grade 7 and 8. That’s about as close to fame as I’ll ever get!!! Cross-Eyed Bear is a Caribbean green with a gold/blue shimmer.

Hot Dogs

Near, far, wherever you are, I believe that the hot dogs go on” – Canadian icon Celine Dion can often be misunderstood with her Francophone accent! Hot Dogs is a vibrant ultramarine blue with a violet/blue shimmer.

I decided to stamp with them – they stamped really well until I ruined it with top coat! So don’t do what I did! I’m posting them regardless.
